THC

Tetrahydrocannabinol,
abbreviated THC, is one of at least 113 cannabinoids identified in
cannabis. THC is the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis.

CBD
|

|
Cannabidiol
(CBD) is a cannabis compound that has significant medical benefits, but
does not make people feel “stoned” and can actually counteract the
psychoactivity of THC.

Kief
|

|
Kief
(“keef” or “kif”) refers to the white / gold powder that accumulates on
the exterior of the cannabis buds. Kief contains a much higher
concentration of psychoactive cannabinoids, such as THC. This stuff is
very potent and will get you tripping big time!

Indica
|

Indica
cannabis strain contains more CBD than THC and thus leaves you relaxed
and social. The stronger varieties will numb your body and put you to
sleep. Great for relaxation, stress relief, and couchlock. These
strains will provide you with a more relaxed feeling and NOT provide
much psychedelic thoughts.

Sativa

Sativa
strains tend to provide more invigorating, uplifting cerebral effects
that pair well with physical activity, social gatherings, and creative
projects. These strains tend to have more THC than CBD and thus
provides the “stoned” feeling.

“Q”
|

“quarter ounce” (7 grams). Cannabis is usually sold by the gram.
Therefore if you want to purchase 7 grams, you refer to it as a “Q”.

To
inhale marijuana smoke/vapor immediately upon waking up, usually in the
morning. This is the time when there is the least amount of sugar being
metabolized to fat in the liver, so less THC is dissolved in the fat
and hence there is potential for a higher concentration 0f THC in the
bloodstream.

HotBoxing

Hotboxing
is the act of smoking a lot of weed in a really confined space.
Hotboxing is usually done in a group, and requires a lot of weed to
really generate a lot of thick smoke.

The chemical
compounds found in the
Cannabis plant that offers a variety of health benefits. Cannabinoids
are a large class of compounds that act on the brains cannabinoid
receptors in cells that repress neurotransmitter release.

|
A clone is a
marijuana plant clipping that can be planted and grown, creating a
genetic copy of the mother.

|
Crystals or
trichomes, are the part of the marijuana plant that hold
the most THC and are specifically used to make concentrates like kief
or hash. Typically when looking at marijuana buds, the more crystals
you see, the more potent the product. |
| concentrates |
|
A
concentrate is any type of cannabis product that is refined from
flowers into a more purified and potent form. A concentrate can refer
to any form of hash (pressed hash or water hash), kief, or hash oil
(CO2, BHO, shatter, budder, wax etc.…). |

Dabbing
is the latest method used to consume potent cannabis concentrates like
butane hash oil (BHO). Specifically speaking, the process involves
placing a small amount of concentrate (or a “dab”) onto a heated
surface of an oil rig pipe, which is immediately vaporized and inhaled
by the user. |

| cottton
mouth |
|
Cotton
mouth is one of the annoying, but mainly harmless side effects of
marijuana. When high, the mouth becomes abnormally dry, similar to
someone of shoving a fistful of cotton balls in your mouth then asking
you to lick envelopes. A simple solution to cotton mouth is eating
candy or chewing gum. |

Hemp
comes from Cannabis sativa, the same plant as marijuana, but only
contains a small amount of the psychoactive ingredient THC. It’s a
product that can be commercially produced to make numerous products
like paper, rope, food, building materials, fuel and more. |
| hit |
|
Act of
smoking, or vape-ing, a puff of cannabis or cannabis extract. |
| hookah |
|
A traditional
Indian water pipe, also called shisha in Arabic
speaking locales and in Southeast Asia. |
| narc |
|
A slang word
for undercover narcotics agent. |
| nug |
|
Slang name for
a bud of high-quality cannabis. |
